Choose what you need — and when you need it
Pick the equipment and the hire time that suits the job.
Lakeside keeps the hire process simple. Choose the equipment, choose when you need it, tell us how you want to receive it, complete the booking, then we handle the secure handover when the time comes.
Eight simple steps from choosing the equipment to returning it. The arrows show exactly what happens next.
Pick the equipment and the hire time that suits the job.
Select how you want to receive your equipment. Delivery options and times are shown when available.
Use your address or give us the job location so the hire is tied to the right place.
Read the important hire statements and terms, confirm them, then continue to payment.
The named hirer completes the secure identity check so the booking is linked to the right person.
At handover we confirm the named hirer, the equipment and the supplied accessories before anything changes hands.
Follow the guidance, keep the equipment secure and tell us if there is a fault, damage or anything unsafe.
Bring it back on time, clean and with everything supplied. We record the return and complete our return checks.
The person named on the booking must be physically present when Lakeside hands over the equipment. We complete a quick live identity check at that point and record the physical handover.
We do not release equipment to a friend, neighbour or someone collecting on another person’s behalf.
We make sure the person standing in front of us matches the named hirer before the equipment leaves Lakeside.
If the equipment and a member of staff are available, we can sometimes start the handover early. Your booked return deadline stays the same.
Booking activity, identity checks, handover evidence and returns are recorded to protect both the customer and Lakeside. Some Lakeside equipment also uses asset-tracking technology for security, recovery and fleet protection during a hire. Tracking and booking information is handled in line with our hire terms and privacy information.

Your Lakeside account keeps your verified customer record, but a quick fresh live check can still be required at the actual handover to confirm the named hirer is present.
We record the return, check the supplied items and condition, then complete our return process before the equipment is offered for another hire.
