If you are inside our 25-mile service area, you can hire from Lakeside. Collection is free. Delivery is a separate route check: if the road journey is over 30 miles, you can still hire — you’ll just collect and return the equipment yourself.
Pick the equipment up from Lakeside and bring it back yourself. There is no collection charge — because charging you to come and get your own hire would be a bit cheeky.

Delivery is a proper handover, not a parcel drop. We confirm who is receiving the equipment, record the handover and only then does the hire move into the customer’s care.

No. The named hirer must be physically present for the delivery handover. We do not leave hired equipment unattended.
No. Keep the equipment secure until Lakeside physically accepts it back. Leaving it outside does not complete the return.
If you are ready and the equipment is ready to be handed over, Lakeside staff can sometimes start the hire early. Your original booked return deadline does not move.
If your use location is inside our 25-mile service area, choose the equipment first. The checker will then show whether free collection or Lakeside transport is available for that route.
